Quick Links
Grounded 2 makes you find and use a wide variety of resources that are scattered around the park where the game takes place. Flower Petals are among the resources that you'll find rather early on, which is great since they're easy to harvest, and you can use them to craft armor that'll help you survive longer as you face stronger bugs.
The biggest struggle with collecting Flower Petals comes from their location, which is one of the areas where you start finding stronger and more aggressive bugs. They're also rather scattered, which means that you might end up wandering around a bit before you actually find a flower that you can harvest petals from.
Where to Find Flower Petals
You gather Flower Petals from pretty purple flowers that are around the Picnic Table. If you want to climb on top of the table, you'll find some. Otherwise, you can also find them scattered around the base of the table, including one that appears inside a jar. When you're near the right flower, you'll see it pop up as a Hosta Flower on your screen with a prompt to attack rather than a prompt to collect or chop.
Once you attack the flower, petals fall onto the ground that you are then able to collect.
Since this is a resource around the Picnic Table, you want to watch out for Orb Weavers, Lawn Mites, and Red Soldier Ants in particular. While you'll likely find Orb Weaver Jr. instead of a full-grown Orb Weaver. However, these are all hostile bugs, so you might end up catching the attention of one and being attacked before you even notice that it was nearby. As a result, it's good to be prepared with armor, a weapon, and some bandages.
How to Use Flower Petals
Like any other new resource, you want to toss a Flower Petal into the Resource Analyzer in order to unlock the recipes that use this resource. The recipes that use Flower Petals are:
- Ladybug Chestplate
- Ladybug Shin Guards
- Bounce Web
- Grinder
- Blueberry Chair
- Acorn Turret
So, you have a variety of utility, armor, and even decorations that you can use Flower Petals for. From here, you can craft some new equipment and even create a new chair to relax in at your base in Grounded 2.
