The Cockroach Queen, also known as General Berserker, is an O.R.C. boss enemy near the end of the Grounded 2 early access and one of the last bug-based bosses you'll face before the final boss, the Masked Stranger. Defeating this boss is mandatory, unlike the others you met before, and is necessary to continue to the final level of the early access game. This guide will go over tips and strategies to prepare yourself before going up against the Cockroach Queen. Once you defeat her, there's only one final boss standing in your way at the final level of the Command Center.

Gear Up

Armor And Weapons

• Armor Sets: The Cockroach Queen has Sizzling-based attacks along with powerful grand slams, so for this fight, the Roach Armor Set is the best option due to the full set granting you Adaptive Resistance. This armor-set ability grants you damage resistance against Venom, Chill, or Sizzle, and stacks up to five times.
• Weaponry: Unlike other bosses, the Cockroach Queen does not have any weaknesses, so bring your finest weapon of choice. However, she does have resistance and will take less damage from weapons that deal in Fresh, Spicy, and Venom, so focus on weapons that deal physical damage, such as the Mantis Blade.
• Spears: During the second half of the fight, the Queen will increase in speed and may be out of reach of other weapons, so have a few spears of choice on hand for quick chip damage in between.
• Arrows (Optional): Bring along some gas arrows to fling at the Cockroach Queen to deal in build-up gas damage. However, be aware the gas will affect you too. If you use them, stay in the other room or swap your headgear for your gas mask and swap back before

Provisions

• Food: Bug Roasts, Mite Loaf, and a Canteen with water to keep your hunger and thirst up. You can also use some of the Granola bars you found earlier in the Command Center for full health in a pinch.
• Mintito Smoothie: Grants Sizzle Reduction and faster cool off, useful against the Queen's acid splash attacks that cause fast sizzle and boiling build-up. Have at least a half stack of these as you'll need them for the boss fight right after the Cockroach Queen.
• Green Machine Smoothie: Boosts stamina recovery rate and heals.
• Hedge Lord Smoothie: Heals and grants trickle health regen over time.
• Bandages: Carry a few stacks of Blueberry Bandages and Lingonberry Bandages, some of which can be found in the Center you traversed to get to the boss. Some fiber bandages are also found along the way. You can choose to use those first to preserve your higher-quality bandages for the tail end of the fight.

The Cockroach Queen

Strategy

Prepare your hotbar before entering the Cockroach Queen's Room on the third level of the Command Center. Make sure one of those items is the Mintito Smoothie to drink during combat. The Queen won't attack until you step fully inside the doorway. You can use this time to lure her out with spears or arrows to gain her agro. Once she comes out, circle around her and attack while making your way into the larger space while avoiding her first acid splash attack.

Her acid causes sizzle build up, and she uses this attack every four attacks or so. Her other attacks involve slamming her whole body down to the ground in a small radius effect, kite backwards once you see her antennae shoot up as her body will go down in a few seconds after. Her other moves involve quick forward bites and evasion tactics to build up another acid attack. When she builds an acid attack, kite to her side and hit her with your weapon before dodging backwards to avoid a ground slam. Remember her resistance is to Gas, Fresh, Spicy, and Venom, so any weapons that have those attributes will be reduced to damage her.

Phase 2

Your first phase will end once the Queen's health depletes completely. However, she will only pause for a moment as she'll let out a bellow and pop off her own head, causing her main attack to be just the acid spray, which will cover a large portion of the room, so make sure you have the proper armor equipped, and you keep your distance when she isn't stunned.

You'll want to aim for her rear for the final portion of her health bar, make sure your smoothie is in effect and your armor durability is kept up during the fight. Slash and smash the queen's legs and rear to finally bring her down.

Once you do, the Stranger will taunt you one final time before inviting you to finish your journey on the final floor to meet her. Now you may harvest the materials from the fallen Cockroach Queen and continue your journey up towards the Masked Stranger. The end of the game is near.
