Hidden in the depths of Mage Arena's Mausoleum are the two pieces of the legendary Excalibur. Unsurprisingly, this can be a powerful tool for those who take the time and risk the dangers of the undead, although many players don't even realize it's an option.
The Basics of Excalibur

Excalibur Reforged is a unique melee weapon available in Mage Arena that must be crafted by finding two pieces in the Mausoleum, which is discussed in more detail later.
This sword has the incredibly powerful trait of causing any player killed with it to simply permanently die for the round, regardless of whether they would normally respawn or not. This allows the weapon to bypass the normal tug-of-war tempo of the game, as you normally must capture a Spawn Flag to prevent enemies from respawning.
Because the two parts of Excalibur are only found in the Mausoleum, which itself is found in the Graveyard biome, Excalibur isn't available every match (at least on Medium maps). Each game has a limited number of hexes, each of which will generate a random biome (seemingly with no repeats, based on testing). While the exact rate of the specific biome spawning couldn't be determined, some games will simply spawn without a Graveyard biome, making it impossible to collect Excalibur's pieces.
Reforging the Sword

Reforging the sword, as mentioned in the previous section, first requires that a map spawn with the Graveyard biome. This is fairly common, with the graveyard fairly easy to identify from a distance due to it being fenced off. The biome also has unique hex art.
Assuming the biome has spawned, Excalibur can be reforged if you manage to collect the two pieces of the sword found in the Mausoleum, a special location that always spawns in the biomes. These pieces can always be found in the Mausoleum (assuming a different player hasn't moved them), although they won't always be easy to find.
The Mausoleum is dark, with several blue braziers that can be lit if you click on them with your Torch. There are primarily two threats to watch out for in the Mausoleum (besides enemy players also exploring the area). The first are skeletons, which will spawn looking dead on the ground but rise up to melee attack you if you approach. These skeletons aren't a major threat, but they have two stages to them; once damaged enough, they will lose their torsos and hop at you, with a smaller profile that makes them a bit harder to see and hit.
The other and more deadly threat is the Lich, an undead spellcaster that wanders the Mausoleum and can deal fairly heavy damage with its own spells. The Lich isn't extremely easy to kill, mostly because of its fairly high damage output, but it also isn't really a "boss." It can be defeated with just a few good hits, especially if you manage to get it with Fireballs.
The two pieces of Excalibur (its blade and hilt) spawn randomly in the Mausoleum but will be difficult to miss, as they faintly glow and first appear slid into moderately large stones that, in testing, were placed obviously.
With both pieces in hand, you then just need to craft using the pieces, forging them back together at either base (the crafting table is next to the Soup Man). This will create Excalibur Reforged. Despite its obvious crack, this is (at the time of writing) the final step in remaking this powerful weapon.
The Mausoleum is also a great place to find Torn Pages, with pages found in abundance if you just break the vases all around the area. Divine Light specifically can be a good way to stay in the Mausoleum as long as you need, letting you quickly heal if the Lich or any skeletons catch you by surprise.
Benefits and Drawbacks

Excalibur Reforged is a powerful weapon. It kills targets in one hit and prevents them from respawning. It also respawns with its wielder if they die, helping to further justify the commitment of time it takes to obtain.
There are a few downsides to the weapon. Firstly, it is a fairly significant time investment to acquire. The pieces are spread out in the Mausoleum, and you'll have to contend with several monsters when seeking them out. While looking for these pieces, you're highly isolated, unable to meaningfully contribute to your team's other goals or protect your base.
Second, the weapon can be disarmed through the use of a Frog Stick and, in fact, this is exactly what a skilled team is going to try and do the moment they realize you have the sword. If you do end up losing Excalibur to a disarm, you've not only spent a large amount of time reforging it, but a team that didn't spend time reforging it and was able to focus on other goals will now have acquired it (you should then immediately seek to Frog Stick it back).
At the time of writing, some players claim Excalibur isn't causing a target to stop respawning. This doesn't seem intentional, and it's unclear how prevalent this issue is, but that does mean in matches where this happens the sword is less useful. However, it is still a powerful melee weapon even without its best ability.
